At the press conference held on November 28, the CICT-ICFT International Jury, composed of Maria Cristina Iglesias, Xueyuan Hun, Ahmed Bedjaoui, Serge Michel, and chaired by Isabelle Danel, honorary president of FIPRESCI, announced the winner of the ICFT - UNESCO Gandhi Medal.

Director Levan Akin was awarded with the ICFT UNESCO Gandhi Medal along with the official diploma of the Prize by the member jury set up by the CICT with the following motivation: 

"Travelling along with a young guy from Georgia to Istanbul to find her long time disappeared niece and fulfil a pledge, an old woman (the very strong and moving  actress Mzia Arabuli) discovers unexpected links and comprehension of gender issues and equality.

A stunning piece of cinema about love and understanding reaching the UNESCO commitment to Gender equality as a human rights issue and a precondition for sustainable people-centered development."​​
