Introduction:
The annual Burbank International Film Festival is an annual, week-long event that celebrates the city's rich cinematic and motion picture history. Throughout the week of the Film Festival, there are several special events, seminars, discussion panels, and speakers covering a variety of topics related to the film industry. An award ceremony is held at the end of the Festival, and awards are given in a variety of categories including Feature, Short, Documentary, Student, Socially Conscious, and several other categories.
The city of Burbank is known as the "Media Capital of the World" because of the number of media companies located within the city's borders, including Warner Brothers, Walt Disney Studios, ABC, NBC, and dozens of other smaller studios and production companies.
